Biking 
Historic Morris Bike & Hike  to benefit Morris Habitat for Humanity will be held June 5 at the Loantaka Park pavilion, South Street in Morris Township, with five events starting between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. Bike ride distances are 35, 20, 10, or 2 miles; or walk 5 miles. Helmets are required for bikers. Entertainment includes a performance of Broadway-style music by the Community Theatre Performing Arts Company and a strongman demonstration by Pat "The Human Vise" Povilaitis. Hiking 
Morristown National Historical Park  has new trail brochures, free of charge, at the Jockey Hollow Visitor Center every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jockey Hollow has 27 miles of trails available to hikers. For more information, call 973-539-2016, ext. 210 or visit http://www.nps.gov/morr.

Running 
Morristown Running Company  at 31 South St. holds free weekly runs. Call 973-401-1300 for more information. Wednesdays, 6:15 p.m., intermediate level group run; Thursdays, 6 p.m., beginner level group run; and Saturdays, 9 a.m., all abilities levels group run.

Skating 
Mennen Sports Arena's Learn-To-Skate  program was recently recognized by U.S. Figure Skating for the 2008-2009 Basic Skills Learn-to-Skate season. The Arena's program is the best beginning ice skating program for both the recreational and competitive skater. Tennis 
USTA Junior Tennis Team  program brings children ages 5-18 together in teams to play singles, doubles and mixed doubles against other teams within a league. Children are divided by age and skill level. The program is designed to build self-esteem and sportsmanship while concentrating on having fun. The Morris Township Department of Parks and Recreation is interested in initiating this program in 2010 and is seeking local tennis enthusiastst to volunteer, coach and recruit.
